Bio:
The group consist of Levi on Guitar / Vocals, with his father, Murphy on Bass guitar / Vocals, and his older cousin Doug on Drums.
It's a family band from the Eastern Agency of the Navajo Nation, for generations since the late 50s, Platero's have been know for singing and as musicians within Tohajiilee Indian Reservation near Albuquerque NM .
In 2003 the youngest Platero made his way to the main stage of performing members of the family, Levi is one of those few kids that just connects with music if it be drums, keyboards or the GUITAR, Raised in a musical family, it was no doubt that this would be the road he would take, as it is the same for Douglas who also grew up in a musical family in Kayenta AZ.
In the Winter of 2004, Levi and his cousin Douglas, together, started playing and practicing almost every day after work and school. In November, Murphy sat in with them at the small home studio/ practice room just to see what they knew, later he found out that the boys had been given a gift. From that moment on Levi would press his dad to continue to practice with them. In December of 2004, they played their first engagement. "amazing" was a word that was used after The Plateros completed thier set.
