The Kings 4 is made up of the Marx siblings, Amy, Amanda, Leo, and Rose. They range in age from 10-18 years old. They first got started singing at their school talent shows

Christening is the band's second release and on it you'll find a mix of bluegrass, folk, rock, and contemporary P&W styles of music that the band pulls upon to achieve their unique sound. They describe the band's name as meaning, "Our band name, The king's 4, means just that, there are 4 of us, and we are for the one and only king, Jesus Christ, and through his will, we will change lives."

The first thing that comes across in the songs are that this band isn't mindlessly just singing lyrics what their singing about is coming straight from the heart.

Group member Amy says that, "TK4 has very few songs that don't mention God in them, and of the few that don't mention His name, only one is not entirely about Him, but still connects to Him in a definite way."

The band's musical mission is to open the door for people to find God and bring positive changes to their lives.

The band credits God as their main influence along with other family members. Musically they draw influence from Christian artist, the Newsboys, and Delirious, secular artist, the Eagles, the Moody Blues, and their country influences from, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Merle Haggard, and Emmy Lou Harris.

The songs found on Christening have several common threads that run through them including deep beats, punches of guitars, great lead and harmony vocals. I also liked the way the mandolin, tambourine, harmonica and xylophone instruments were used in the songs.

Technically the album had a few flat spots were the sound was a little bit tinny and the instruments were punched up to high overriding the vocals but most of them can easily be adjusted for by using your stereo's equalizer.

Overall I thought that The Kings 4 have a really solid style and a passion that shines brightly through their music.
